Research must align with the mission of the CGE-SG (http://www.critgeoed.com/), which is to “promote, organize, and advance critical geographic explorations of education and schooling; to support the scholarly growth of critical geographers of education; and to contribute to social movements related to struggles over schooling.” The winner of the award will receive $100 (USD). AAG/CGE-SG membership or attendance at the conference is not necessary to participate in the competition.  

Submissions should be emailed to Dan Cohen (dan.cohen@queensu.ca) or Nicole Nguyen (nguyenn@uic.edu) by Friday. March 19th.   In addition to your dissertation (as a pdf file) please include the date of your defense, your full name, affiliation (university, department, and degree), and mailing address.
